Fallowfest will take place on 2 August, 11am – 5pm at the Shakespearean Garden in Platt Fields Park.
The event is a celebration of the Shakespearean Garden and the Fallowfield community, featuring:
- A welcome from High Sherriff of Greater Manchester, Mark Llewellin
- Stalls and Refreshments
- Plant Sale
- Northern Spoon Crafts
- Community sculpture organised by Liam Curtin
- Harp music from Susan Lambert
- A talk by David Bielawski, followed by horticultural Q&A
Outside the gardens will be a postcard exhibition of artwork created by local community organisations & residents. There will also be a travelling version of the ‘Shakespeare & Manchester’ exhibition that was recently displayed at the Central Library, and performances in the Piano Hut.
Entry to the Shakespearean Garden is £5 for adults as part of the National Garden Scheme – book tickets here or buy one on the day. Activities outside the garden are free.
