Remembrance Sunday services will be taking place across Trafford on November 8.
Residents are invited to attend the services to remember the brave service men and women who gave their lives in both world wars and in more recent conflicts.
Services will be held in Urmston, Hale, Hale Barns, Partington, Sale, Stretford, Bowdon and Altrincham. This year’s Civic Service will be held at Urmston War Memorial, Davyhulme Circle, Urmston.
The Leader of Trafford Council, Cllr Tom Ross and the Mayor, Cllr Simon Thomas, will be attending services along with other civic dignitaries.
Cllr Ross said: “Remembrance Sunday gives us the opportunity to pay our respects to the men and women who have died or been injured serving the country in both world wars and other conflicts.
“I would urge everyone to attend one of the services in our borough in order to remember those who have given their lives for the freedoms we now enjoy.”
